Danae Grace Update (pictures)

Click here for a few recent pictures. Baby and Mother continue to do well. But, there will certainly be a transition into the interrupted nights and innumerable diaper changes. In spite of those minor inconveniences, we find a loss of ability to express our feelings of thanksgiving and gratitude. While there are still many question marks that remain over the next few weeks, we pray for eyes to see and a heart to give praise for all the questions that have received answers through Danae's birth. To God be the Glory!

Danae Grace Plattner

With Thanksgiving and Praise we announce the arrival of Danae Grace Plattner. She arrived at 8:30am on May 24, 2011. She weighed 7lbs 10oz. and was 21in. tall. Mother and Baby are doing well.

With the blessing of our good friends in Jamaica, Damian and Felecia Campbell, we copied their beautiful daughters name. And, we added "Grace," as a testimony to the all-sustaining power of our Lord in our family's lives. We give thanks!

I am sure we will be adding more pictures over the coming days. We are confident that she is anxiously awaiting the opportunity to meet her older brothers and sister.

Baby Update!!!

These are not pictures of the new baby! False alarm! Sorry for getting your hopes up, but we did want to give you an update. The baby's due date is this coming Saturday the 21st. We would love for baby to come before that, but no action yet. In His time! The miracle of life runs on its own schedule and the unfolding of God's design is a miracle in itself.

The above pictures are Drew, Truitt, and Daisha, but not in that order and I cant tell you which is which. If you guess it right, you may or may not win a big prize.

Fellowship

Two different nights this weekend, we spent with friends in fellowship. I know that is really not that big of a deal in the normal world, but we are no longer members of "normal world." We miss that so much. Its huge and shouldnt be taken for normal. The fellowship of saints is not just an average thing, its an otherworldly blessing. I know I run the risk of over-romanticizing it, but it was good for our soul. This is not a "feel sorry for the missionary" plea, but an encouragement to anyone who has lost sight of the blessings of fellowship with friends. Because, you never know what you got till its gone.

Go look at old pictures

The other night, Keri and I started looking at old pictures. It was amazing! We took a walk down memory lane with our boys and were able to revel in God's faithfulness. Drew and Truitt loved looking at videos and pictures from when they were a baby. It was an awesome blessing and I would encourage you to take 30 minutes and look back at some of your pictures even from 3 or 5 years ago.

Face Lift

Time for a facelift. Nothing radical, nothing crazy, just a little different look. Every once in awhile, things just need a bit of an overhaul. This blog remains a place designed for the following purpose:
