A quick catch-up

During our little blogging sabbatical, life did not stop. We were actually running harder than normal and had a lot of things going on. The week of June 28th we had the arrival of an Apostolic team from Ohio. This team focused on a new playground for our school. They did some pretty intense work and the playground turned out great. They did a bunch of other projects that needed done and I would guess that we got the work of 3 teams done in 1 week. We used the week of July 5th to get rested and ready for the next team. Keri and I also were able to get away on a "day date." Janice, a friend from our home church, was here and she was willing to keep our kids. We had a great day! We also had the opportunity on July 10th to attend a wedding of some deaf friends of ours. It was a nice wedding and a great experience for us. On July 12th, another Apostolic team came from Missouri. This was another week of doing way more work than average. They put some finishing touches on the playground, adding a picnic table and benches, as well as doing some other needed projects. That brings us up to this week and as you could guess, we will be using it to recover from "team time." All of our work teams are finished for the year and now we will begin focusing on getting ready for the next school year. We think time will slow down and we will be able to do a bit more resting, reflecting, and relaxing. To God be the Glory!
