Drew is a numbers nut. We got the kid a calculator for his birthday! He can play store all day, exchanging play money for imaginary pizza. He loves to add and he loves to subtract and recently we caught him multiplying.
Here at the Jamaican Deaf Village, they have a souvenir shop and it has been the culmination of all his dreams to be the cashier for the shop. It is opened on Tuesday and Thursday nights. He will ask 10 times between Tuesday and Thursday when he gets to open the shop again. He is living his dreams as he gives $4 change from a $20 for a t-shirt.
Last night, he put a cherry on top of the number wackiness. He never goes to sleep well and is often looking for an excuse to get out of bed to read books. So, he walks out of his room and up to Keri and says, "I am only about 20% sleepy, so can I get up and read books."
